Text Box: 		Julia Smith began training with Master Wen Linjun in 1993, practicing Wushu, Shaolin, Taiji Quan, SanDa, Bagua Zhang and Qigong.
After an intensive 3 year training programme she graduated in 2001 with a teaching diploma from the SanLing Wushu College, majoring in Taiji Quan and minoring in Bagua Zhang.  From 1995 to 2002, she taught many beginners and intermediate classes for this college. 
In 2003 she trained with Master Huang Ping until  she joined the Taiji Circle to continue her study with Master Liu Quan Jun.
In 2004 Julia completed a 3 year BSc Acupuncture degree from the London College of Traditional Acupuncture (Portsmouth University). 
In 2005 she travelled to Chen village in China to learn the Chen spear with Grandmaster Chen Xiao Wang (Chen 19th generation heir). She travelled to south China and studied Tuina (Chinese massage) in the Yunnan Provincial Hospital of Tradtional Chinese Medicine, Kunming, Yunnan. While there, she was able to refine Sha Guozheng’s Bagua Zhang form with Sha’s son, Master Sha Jing Jie and his daughter-in-law Master Bing Li.
In 2007 she completed Ying Longmen Ying Qigong, level 1 as well as competing in Seni’s Open European Wushu Competition, winning silver for the 42 sword form. The head judge was Wu Bin.
In Sept 2008 Julia was head judge for the British Council for Chinese Martial Arts National Championships. In December she passed 4th Duanwei (Chinese Wushu Association).
Julia continues to refine her repertoire of forms with Chen Xiao Wang, Chen Zheng Lei, Liu Quan Jun, Dr Wen Linjun, Dr Jian liujun, Huang Ping and Wang Hai Jun studying Taiji Quan and jian, Bagua Zhang, Qigong and Daoyin.
